a funny little freckle

about a month ago, colin had a little scratch on his right hand. he would show it to everyone (including people at the grocery store, target or anywhere else we went). by the time that scratch was just a little scar, colin had gotten some shots at his 15 month check up and he thought the pain in his arm was from his scratch/scar that you could hardly see. (but he was still showing people his "boo-boo" and would even make a sad pouty face to go with it.) by the time his arm stopped aching, i noticed that colin had a tiny little freckle on that same hand. he STILL thinks it is a boo-boo! when i ask him to see his freckle this is what he does...

eye can see!!

my surgery went great! i still can't believe i can see without contacts or glasses! my eyes are really dry and pretty itchy and i have to put drops in every 5 seconds, but other than that they are good! the funniest part is the eye protector that i have to wear when i sleep. i thought it would look like a sleep mask...i was SO wrong! here is colin modeling it for you all!




what a joke huh!! i look like some sort of professional racquet ball player!!! good thing i only have to wear it for a few more days ;)

saturday i am having lasik eye surgery!! i can't wait. i have been wearing glasses and contacts since i was a freshman in high school (13 years!!). i can't even remember what it is like to wake up in the morning and be able to actually see! i am not very nurvous for the actual procedure, but the care after is pretty intense. i can't wear any eye make-up for two weeks and i have to put like three different drops in my eyes every 30 minutes for two weeks. plus, i have to wear an eye shade when i sleep on so i don't rub my eyes...maybe i can get one of those ones that says DIVA or PRINCESS on it ;)

80's Cousin Bowling

saturday night a bunch of my cousins got together to go bowling. it was tori's birthday and one of the last times we got to hang out with my cousin shane before he leaves on his mission to milan. someone decided we needed a theme and we came up with 80's! it was so fun! i can't wait to do it again...hopefully with everybody next time!

mmmm i still LOVE cake!



i celebrated my 27th birthday today with food! anytime anyone asked what i wanted to do for my birthday, all i could think of were places i wanted to eat!


so, for breakfast my mom brought me strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate frosted doughnuts,











for lunch we went to oregano's,











and for dinner we went to fleming's.









all day was one delicious blur and now i am almost too full to blog! the only thing i would change about today was the runny nose sick kid i had (poor baby).































































thank you all my family for such a wonderful birthday! i love you!


now on to the next year.....
