First day of school

I could not be more proud of my two school boys.  Colin is in Kindergarten this year and his teacher is Mrs. Zlacket.  He is at real big kid school, I can't even believe it!  He goes five days a week from 8:30-3:00.  It is a long day but he is transitioning great.   Parker started Pre-school this year.  He goes three days a week and loves it!  His teacher's name is Mrs. Ward and we already love her!  The first day he came home so excited and said he has "fwends"!  It has been a little bit of a struggle to get back into a routine but we are all happy to be back at school!

Trip to California

Summer started to get long and really hot so at the end of July my mom and I decided to take a road trip to California!  We went to San Diego to see Auntie Cody and Uncle Joey and then up to L.A. to visit Auntie Kelly and Auntie Tori.  It was a long trip but the kids did great (with the exception of all of them getting sick at different times during the trip, ahhh!).

The night before we left, Olivia got sick but thankfully, by the time we made it to San Diego she was much better. The weather in SD was so amazing and beautiful.  I would move there in a heartbeat!  We made a quick visit to the beach the first day and the second day we went to Legoland!

Colin was obsessed with getting his face painted.  He wanted to do it everywhere we went!  Parker liked it to but was a little freaked out about a stranger touching his face, so he got his arm painted instead :)

Yia Yia and Auntie Toto bought Olivia these butterfly sunglasses and she loved them! She actually wore them most of the day!

and even ended up falling asleep in them :)

The boys had a blast on all of the rides and loved seeing all the animals and characters made out of Legos!

The day we left San Diego to drive to L.A., Parker got sick :(.  Luckily whatever virus it was didn't last long. We did a few little touristy things in L.A. like Universal City and the L.A. Zoo.

The next two days were Disneyland and California Adventure!!!  We were troopers with 3 adults and 3 kids under 5.  We stayed at the parks for 12 hours straight both days!

Colin's favorite princess, Merada from Brave.  She was the only character he wanted a picture with.  I think it was mostly because they got to shoot a bow and arrow after :).

Colin drove Parker and I at Autopia!  Such a good driver (for a 5 year old :)

Disney really takes a lot out of you

It took a lot to talk Colin into going on rides, but once he started going, he loved it!  His favorite was Splash Mountain.  He wanted to go on it a hundred times!

The new Cars Land at California Adventure was AMAZING!!  It was totally like we were IN the movie!  I think I might have liked it more than the kids did.  We had such a fun day there!

The day we left to drive home, Colin got sick.  The perfect way to end the trip, I guess!  Overall it was a great "vacation" and really nice to get out of the Arizona heat!  I loved seeing my sisters and really appreciate my sisters and my mom helping me so much with the kids and agreeing to take this trip with me!  Couldn't have done it with out all of you!!
