feliz navidad

we had a WONDERFUL christmas this year! it was filled with fun, LOTS of good food, presents and most importantly, family. i am so fortunate to be surrounded by such a loving, supportive, and generous family and so thankful to have the best husband and sweetest little boy. i couldn't ask for anything more!

Christmas Eve
we started off the night (actually it was mid-afternoon) at my gradma baynie's for our traditional english/scottish feast with the edmonson family.

colin got a hold of auntie kelly's camera and loved "taking pictures"

after baynie's we were off to eat mexican food with josh's dad's family and then to grandma connies to finish the night with some light italian food :)

with very very VERY full bellies, we made it home just in time to put out cookies and milk for santa, read "the night before christmas" and jump into bed.

christmas morning
SANTA CAME!!!!!!!!

colin's favorite thing from his stocking was the apple in the bottom. he started eating it right away and didn't put it down!

checking out the tent that sana brought!

opening his present from mom and dad.....

a workbench so he can be just like his daddy :)

he knew what to do right away!

me in the kitchen making our christmas breakfast (potato and bacon quiche and cinnamon french toast mmmmmmmm)

we spent the rest of christmas morning at my parent's house. colin is one lucky boy...he got a basketball hoop AND a bike!!

colin was so excited about the backetball hoop (thanks grandpa) and even made a basket on his first try!

...and second try...

...and third try...the kid is a natural!

this little bike is the cutest thing. he can't really ride it yet because he doesn't know how to peddle but he can push himself backwards. and of course the bike came with a cool spiderman helmet and knee pads! thanks grandma!

for lunch, (are you still with me? sorry this post goes on forever!)
we went to grandma and grandpa reay's for yummy yummy mexican food. we usually do a cousin gift exchange and this year we decided to "go green" and hand make the gifts. i was a little nervous about the idea but everyone made some amazing gifts! there were knit scarfs, decorative letters, picture frames, dried fruit, baked goods, aprons, poems, just to name a few!!! josh got a rugby t-shirt made by my cousin nick and i got a christmas story about colin written by my cousin elliot! thanks elli! wow! i have such a crafty family!

this was the only picture i took at the ranch. tori gave me a really cute picture frame and i wanted a picture of us to go in it :)

after that, of course we needed to eat some more so we went to Josh's mom's for a prime rib dinner and more presents!

By eight o'clock we were exhaustd to say the least and all fell asleep watching a movie. phew!
